Join us for a concert featuring Community Music saxophone faculty member, Erik Steighner, joined by guitarist and faculty member at Oregon State University, Cameron O'Connor. The duo will perform an exciting one-hour program which will include works by Robert Beaser, Manuel de Falla, Richard Wagner, and more!
Cameron O'Connor has performed at the New World Center in Miami, at the 9/11 Memorial in New York City, and as a guest artist and teaching assistant at the Aspen Music Festival. He performs regularly on electric guitar, banjo, and mandolin. O'Connor earned a degree from California State University, a master of music degree from the Juilliard School, and a doctoral degree from University of Southern California Thornton School of Music.
Erik Steighner performs regularly as a soloist in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. He serves on the music faculty at Pacific Lutheran University and also is on the faculty at the University of Puget Sound Community Music Department. Steighner holds degrees in music and English from the University of Puget Sound. He earned a master of music degree and a doctoral degree from the University of Texas, Austin.
