Film: "Stalker"

Campus Only

Stalker, directed by Andrei Tarkovsky, has been called one of the best drama films of the latter half of the 20th century, and ranks 29th on the British Film Institute's "50 Greatest Films of All Time" poll. The screenplay by Boris and Arkady Strugatsky is loosely based on their 1972 novel Roadside Picnic and tells the story of an expedition into a mysterious “zone” to find a room which can fulfill a person’s innermost desires. In 1980, it won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the Cannes Film Festival.

Please join us for the showing on Nov. 7. Open to students, faculty members, and staff members. Presented by the Department of English and the Campus Book Club.
