Puget Sound’s Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Counseling program focuses on developing skills that are relevant to a wide range of careers in social service and mental health agencies, as well as preparing graduates to become certified as school counselors. Candidates are placed in local schools and agencies for part-time, yearlong internship experiences. They benefit from the strong connections that Puget Sound faculty have to the schools and community, and from the small, collaborative classes, active development of cultural competence, and personal mentoring from both experienced faculty members and internship supervisors.
