The Garinagu people ­­are descendants of Africans and Carib­Indians who resisted slavery and continue cultivating cultures of resistance to this day. Most Garinagu live in the Atlantic coast of Central America yet thousands have migrated to the United States in the past few decades. Yoelin Connor and Ricardo Guity have been at the forefront of the Garinagu cultural resistance movement in Seattle. Join us for this special event.
