Opinion piece in The News Tribune looks to the heights!


TACOMA, Wash. – “Tacoma is on the move again. You can feel it,” wrote President Ronald R. Thomas in an opinion piece published in The News Tribune on Jan. 16, 2013.

The University of Puget Sound president highlighted many of recent advances seen in Pierce County—pointing out that “a great city endures and rises to the challenge in tough times.” The same can be said about venerable institutions, he wrote, and this year we celebrate the 125thanniversary of one of them: the University of Puget Sound.
