Can you believe that it has been 45 years since your time at Puget Sound? No doubt, the memories you cherish make it feel like yesterday!
The year 2020 marks 45 years since graduating from this special place. As things with the COVID-19 pandemic progressed, it became clear that postponing the weekend was our safest option. Please plan to join us for Summer Reunion Weekend 2021, June 11 - 13.
"Studying and basking in the sun out in courtyard on a sunny day in between the cloudy, rainy days...eating with friends in the HUB...Walking from one side of the campus to go to the Ed building, through the treed area and listening to the crows caw..." - Tina Martinez '75
"The support and encouragement I got from fellow students and faculty at the death of my parents. During my first winter-term, 1974 my mother passed away, then my father was diagnosed with cancer in the summer of that year. My father died just before my graduation in December 1975." - Margret Kingrey '75
"I loved the campus which is even more beautiful now. The smaller class sizes provided a personal learning experience and the opportunity to know the professors better. My very favorite memories were with friends I met at UPS, friends who I still connect with. There's something unique and special about Puget Sound." - Janet Winterrowd '75
"Exploring the Puget Sound area, hiking, boating, fishing, touring with close friends made at UPS; studying with fellow science majors, "dining" together in the SUB with the occassional food fight; learning; gaining an appreciation of Pacific Northwest culinary trademarks - salmon, clams, shrimp, mushrooms, etc." - Deborah Ford '75
"President Thompson - He was always engaging and flexible. he allowed students to be students.
English Professor Cousins - A most interesting bright individual.
Religion Prog Dr. Albertson - He just had a knack for helping us get the most out of ourselves." - Kurt Grimmer '75
"Shelby Clayson, Janet Porter, Dr. Ted Sterling, and Harriet Richmond. Shelby especially seemed to understand that I was a bit self-destructive when I got a poor grade on a test in neurology which was my favorite subject of the semester. She gently nudged me into doing better and passing the class. I fill never forget her kindness and be forever grateful." - Margret Kingrey '75
"Political Science Department (my major)
Jones Hall staff administrators and staff during 1975-77 (when I worked there, too)
John English, Dean of Students during my years of working in student government
Serni Solidarius, Director of Student Activities/Events." - David Campbell '75
"It was a perfect fit for my college education!!!" - Tina Martinez '75
"I could not have imagined a better overall undergraduate experience. Beautiful and inspiring surroundings, wonderful new friendships, learning well beyond my expectations, and set a trajectory for the rest of my professional and personal life. Great to still be in touch with classmates, and happenings at UPS. And to have my daughter as an alumnus as well, is super fun!" - Deborah Ford '75
"I loved my experience at UPS so much that I was thrilled when my daughter, Molly, chose to go there." - Janet Winterrowd '75
"It's always great to visit the campus and see how it's changed (but also stayed the same) over the years and to realize how the school's academic reputation has improved, too." - David Campbell '75
