A Tacoma native, oboist Noelle Burns teaches woodwind techniques. She received a bachelor of music degree from the Eastman School of Music, where she studied with Richard Killmer. Her master of music in oboe performance was earned at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, where she studied with Robert Atherholt. She is a member of both the Tacoma Symphony and Olympia Symphony orchestras and is a frequent performer with the Northwest Sinfonietta. Before moving to the Northwest, Ms. Burns was based in Houston, Texas, where she performed with the Houston Symphony Orchestra, River Oaks Chamber Orchestra, Victoria Symphony Orchestra, and Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra.
