Peter Greenfield holds a BA and PhD from the University of Washington, and an MA from Mills College.  He is interested in dramatic literature from the ancient Greeks to the present day, specializing in late medieval and early modern English drama.  His courses include Shakespeare, early British literature, the history of the English language and interdisciplinary humanities. Professor Greenfield is the editor of the annual journal, Research Opportunities in Medieval and Renaissance Drama, and has published extensively on late medieval and early modern drama, including contributions to A New History of Early English Drama (1997), A Companion to Renaissance Drama (2002), and The Cambridge History of British Theatre (2004).  He serves on the executive board of the Records of Early English Drama project, for which he has edited Gloucestershire (1986), and he is currently at work on Hertfordshire and Hampshire. With Professor Florence Sandler, he leads annual trips to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
