Visiting Assistant Professor
I’m a critical organizational communication scholar who focuses on issues of organizational practices and discourse. Particularly I pay attention to ways we can build inclusive organizations through practices, policies, and leadership. I received my PhD from University of Missouri where I studied organizational communication. My dissertation focused on employee identity management during a social change.
I serve as the Director of the Center for Speech and Effective Advocacy.
I teach organizational communication, gender, and crisis communication. I work with organizations and community members on developing effective teams, positive supervision practices and individual coaching in areas of public speaking and advocacy.
