For items that cannot be recycled in the classical sense, we still try to divert these items from landfills. We partner with numerous Tacoma area organizations to donate your unwanted but still usable items!
A few of our partners and what they accept:
Northwest Furniture Bank
The Northwest Furniture Bank is an organization that provides beds and other furniture to the homeless, domestic violence survivors, and low-income Tacoma area population who are in new housing and need furniture. We donate all furniture and beds to them. While not all mattresses that we donate to them can be reused, they have an extensive mattress recycling program so that all pieces are reused and recycled rather than tossed in the landfill!

Family Renewal Shelter
The Family Renewal Shelter is an emergency shelter and services network for domestic violence survivors and their families. We donate any toiletry items, opened or unopened, and cleaning supplies to them.

University of Puget Sound Food Pantry
As a campus community, we strive to provide a safe, welcoming, and healthy place for students of all socioeconomic backgrounds to thrive in. The Garden, Food Justice Programs, and Center for Intercultural & Civic Engagement came together to start an on-campus food bank for our students struggling with food security. We donate all non-perishable food to them.
