Moving into college for the first time can be hard, but shopping at Grizz's Garage is easy! Here is everything you need to know about Puget Sound's dorm resale.

What?

Grizz’s Garage Sale is a re-sale of gently used dorm items collected from students during Move-Out at the end of Spring Semester. As a campus community, we noticed that many students throw away perfectly good dorm items at the end of the year and only 2 months later incoming first-years bought the same items. Started as a Green Fee Project funded by ASUPS and later taken on by Sustainability Services, the students of Sustainability Services collected these gently used dorm items, such as shower caddies and mirrors, cleaned, and stored them over the summer and are now reselling them to first-years at a significantly reduced price.

Do you take credit/debit cards?

At this time, we are cash only.

Where?

The sale is taking place in Thomas Hall, formerly Commencement, room 271, which is underneath the Tahoma Room and can be accessed via the hill between Regester/Seward and Thomas Hall.

When?

We will open on First-Year Move-In Day, Friday August 18 at 8:00 a.m. and will be open until we run out of merchandise, which last year happened by 11:00 a.m.!

Who?

Any Puget Sound student, new or returning, is welcome to check out Grizz’s Garage Sale.

Why?

Here at Sustainability Services, not only do we encourage recycling, but also the overall reduction of waste. This is a great way to reduce the amount of waste produced on our campus during a historically heavy waste production period.
