Author visit - CYNTHIA NIMS
CYNTHIA NIMS, is a best-selling food author who’s written cookbooks based on celebrated iconic foods such as oysters, crabs and wild mushrooms.

Inspired by her love of salty snacks and game night entertaining, she’s had occasion to cook for some fascinating people, ranging from Julia Child to the Flying Karamazov Brothers, has written, edited and contributed to many cookbooks, and served as food editor of Seattle Magazine as well as editor of Simply Seafood magazine. Cynthia holds the Grand Diplôme d’Etudes Culinaires from La Varenne cooking school in France and as a food writer and culinary consultant has served as food editor of Seattle Magazine as well as editor of Simply Seafood magazine. She holds the Grand Diplôme d’Etudes Culinaires from La Varenne cooking school in France, and is a UPS alum with campus roots in ASUPS Student Programs and Study Abroad.
She includes our Logger Bookstore on her current book tour supporting her latest release, “Shellfish” (PenguinRandomHouse). As part of ASUPS Spring Family Weekend, she’ll be available at 1pm Friday, April 8, for a booksigning. Welcome back, Cynthia!
