An Online Alcohol Assessment Tool and Personalized Feedback for Puget Sound Students

In collaboration with Counseling, Health, and Wellness Services, Puget Sound’s Substance Abuse Prevention Program offers students free access to the eCHECKUP TO GO, an evidence-based online prevention intervention. This tool provides personalized feedback that shows how your drinking habits, family history, and campus norms affect your life and future. The e-CHUG is a brief assessment tool that takes 10-15 minutes to complete, is self-guided, requires no face-to-face contact with a counselor, and is completely anonymous. You can take it once or on multiple occasions to track your alcohol use (remember to keep your e-CHUG identification number). The program is available to the Puget Sound community, including students, faculty, staff, and parents.

When you access the e-CHUG, you will be prompted to enter some demographic information about your personal alcohol use. After all the information has been entered, you will submit the form, and the information will be processed. Your responses will then be compared to national and Puget Sound college student norms. Your personalized feedback will then be displayed in a standard format.

Your participation in the e-CHUG is voluntary. You may withdraw from participating at any time. The Puget Sound e-CHUG is serviced through a secure website at San Diego State University.

The e-CHUG is anonymous, and no individual information is kept or provided to the University of Puget Sound.
