Mary Boer

Mary Boer specializes in training teachers of K-12 classes and she supports teacher candidates as they work toward certification. Her ongoing research aims to ensure the continued effectiveness of the university’s School of Education’s Enhanced Planning Model for student teaching. Boer has particular interests in developing strong relationships with local K-12 teaching mentors in the school system and in utilizing simple, but powerful visual models to encourage student retention and organization, and to instill in teacher candidates deeper and more connected thinking about learning.
