Beware of labware that might be contaminated with chemicals. Most glassware can be rinsed with acetone or dichloromathane once, and the rinsate deposited into the appropriate waste collection bottle. For a P-Listed chemical, it must be rinsed three times. Log all rinses into the bottle log sheet.
Some things to keep in mind:
- Rinse all disposable transfer pipettes, NMR tubes, test tubes, vials, etc., that have residual chemicals in them.
- Rinse all stoppers, corks, lids, etc., that have residual chemicals on them.
