Students may also fulfill the Puget Sound Language Graduation Requirement through testing in American Sign Language through the ASLPI. Students testing in American Sign Language must allow sufficient time for scheduling the testing interview, as this can take several weeks. NOTE: In fall 2020, the ASLPI has paused all new testing. We are currently unable to provide ASL proficiency testing.

If you would like to test in a language that is not on the list, please contact us, and we will do our best to locate a proficiency exam for you.

Students seeking a substitution of the Language Graduation Requirement must provide documentation of a relevant disability. For more information about that process please see Language Substitution and "Language Substitution" in the Bulletin.

If you have questions, please contact the CWL at cwl@pugetsound.edu or at 253.879.3404.

Students will be informed of their test results via e-mail, as will the Registrar's Office.
