Do you have a favorite place in Tacoma?
I love going to Titlow Beach Park and running the loop or walking along the water. It's sometimes called "Tacoma's Hidden Beach" and has a great view of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.

Name a class at Puget Sound you are interested in, but haven't taken.
I'm confused by the fact that "a class" is singular here, since with a quick spin through the course catalog I saw at least fifteen that I'd love to take. For these purposes I'll cull the list down to Art History 380 (Museums and Curating in the 21st Century: History, Theory, and Practice); French 391 (African Women Writers); and English 245 (Shakespeare: From Script to Stage).

I was a Sociology and Anthropology major, so I don't have any of the prerequisite courses for Biology 379 (Ornithology) but I'll go out on a limb and add that too.

What is a book that has been influential for you?
I love to read, so I'm going to cheat and list a bunch: Willa Cather's My Antonia, Ann Fadiman's Ex Libris, Celeste Ng's Everything I Never Told You, Ted Kooser's Delights and Shadows, and Zora Neale Hurston's Their Eyes Were Watching God, which is the first book I was assigned for school that turned out not to feel like homework.
