Room assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis. To be eligible for a room assignment, students must submit a validated application. Validation requires a $300 Advance Tuition Payment and a completed online Housing Preference
The 2014–15 rate for room and board is $5,590 a semester ($11,180 a year). All students who reside in residence halls, Langlow House, FLAC House, or Greek residences are required to purchase a university meal plan. Under the university’s A La Carte food service program, students may use their board plan any time university dining services are open. Meal service is not provided over extended vacation periods (Thanksgiving, and winter, spring, and summer breaks).
Room charges for new incoming students are nonrefundable after 5 p.m. on the first day of classes. Board charges are refunded on a partial basis for those students who withdraw from campus housing before the completion of a term. Additional information about the room charge refund policy is available from the Office of Residence Life.
Each student will be provided an Internet connection in his/her room. All residence halls and most academic buildings also offer wireless connectivity. Service and access fees are included in the room and board rate.
Admitted students who submit the $300 Advance Tuition Payment will be given access to the online Housing Preference Form on their Cascade accounts.
