The role of the Business Leadership Program Student Advisory Board is to provide a communication link—the student's voice—between the business leadership program students and the program’s director. The board also leads BLP students’ engagement in community service, peer-mentoring, and social programming. Please feel free to contact them.
I am from Eugene, Oregon pursuing double majors in the Business Leadership Program and Politics & Government with a U.S. emphasis. On campus, I am a peer advisor, on the Track & Field team, and involved with Greek Life as the Panhellenic Director of Finance. I look forward to serving the BLP class of 2019 as a student board member to help develop and enrich the program!
I am completing my final semester at the University of Puget Sound. In addition to being a Business and Leadership major and an African American Studies minor, I have been the editor-in-chief of the 2018 Race and Pedagogy Conference's student magazine and a staff writer and section editor for The Trail. I've completed an internship at Northwest Travel and Life Magazine, and won Best On Air Personality for my radio show, Dear Nayla. Currently, I am the editor-in-chief of Wetlands Magazine, Director of Marketing and Outreach for the Trail, and co-host of the sex ed radio show, Sexistential Crisis.
I am a junior from Seattle, Washington. I am pursuing a major in Business Administration, and double major in Communication Studies and Japanese. I am currently in my third year at UPS. I am from Ventura, California, and am pursuing double majors in BLP and Environmental Policy and Decision Making. This year I have also become involved in Residence Life as an RCC for the Houses, and am the Business Leadership Program Assistant. Outside of school I enjoy spending as much time as I can outdoors – hiking, backpacking, camping, you name it! I look forward to serving on the BLP Board to help the program reflect student interests as much as possible and to help the program reach its fullest potential.
I am a second year student form Colorado Springs, Colorado. I am perusing a double major in Economics and BLP International with a German minor. Outside BLP, I am a Resident Assistant, Secretary of the investment club, and I play ultimate frisbee. I am also a member of Phi Eta Sigma honor society and the fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon. I love playing racquetball, hiking, biking, and just being outside in general. I am excited to be a part of the Student Advisory Board and to help the BLP continue to evolve and improve.
I am from Reno, Nevada. I am striving for a double major in the Business Leadership Program, with an international emphasis, and German. This past summer I had the opportunity to intern for a non-profit that works with the U.S. Department of State to bring global leaders to the U.S. and resettles refugees. Through my internship, I learned the importance of global connections, and citizen diplomacy. I am a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta women’s fraternity, where I serve on a variety of committees, and I am the Service and Philanthropy Director. Outside of class, I enjoy traveling, exploring, paddle boarding, and enjoying the sun. I am excited for an awesome year as a sophomore representative on the BLP Advisory Board!
I am a first-year from Chicago, Illinois. I plan to pursue a major in the BLP (hopefully leading to work in the non-profit field) and hope to also minor in Spanish. When I have free time, I enjoy finding new places to eat in Tacoma, doing yoga, and taking advantage of the Pacific Northwest’s natural beauty by hiking or going down to the Sound. I am excited for the the opportunity to represent the class of 2022 on the Student Board and serving as a leader for BLP’s philanthropy. I am always available if you have any questions!
I am a first-year student from Bellingham, WA, who enjoys playing guitar, drinking iced coffee, and going on spontaneous hikes. I spend a large amount of my time on the field as a kicker/punter for the Puget Sound football team and love every second of it. Two years ago, I started my own photography company - shooting commercials, corporate events, weddings, and portraits in the time since then. I plan to find a major within the reign of Business and I'm extremely excited for the opportunities my time in the BLP will bring!
