The role of the Business Leadership Program Student Advisory Board is to provide a communication link—the student's voice—between the business leadership program students and the program’s director. The board also leads BLP students’ engagement in community service, peer-mentoring, and social programming. Please feel free to contact them.
Hello! I'm Christina, and I'm a senior at UPS from El Granada, California. I am pursuing a double major in Business Leadership and Economics, as well as a minor in Math. On campus I can usually be found working as a barista at Diversions Café, taking photos of my classmates, and organizing and promoting events for my sorority! I'm very excited to be serving on the BLP Student Board for the third time, and I'm looking forward to finding ways to enhance the BLP experience while we remain virtual.
Hi, I'm Darby and I am a junior from Maui, Hawaii majoring in BLP with an emphasis in marketing and minor in communications studies. Outside of the BLP, I have recently founded UPS' first running club (I actually ran DIII here too for a bit) and am so excited to start a recreational running community! I also am a part of the Ka Ohana Aloha Hawaii club, the Phi Eta Sigma honors society, marketing club, and I work as an office assistant in the School of Business and Leadership. Outside of campus life, I really enjoy taking photos, exploring the PNW, thrifting, and being creative (I love taking advantage of the makerspace in the library). I am so excited to be on the BLP Student Board this semester and am looking forward to connecting with more BLP students, practicing leadership, enhancing the BLP program, and representing the junior cohort!
Hello! My name is Bird, and I'm a junior at UPS originally from Berkeley, CA. I am majoring in International Business with a minor in Spanish. At UPS, you can find me working as a staff photographer or enjoying many a caffeinated drink at Diversions! Outside of school, I invest my time in freelance photography, cooking, and going on fun adventures with friends. I am looking forward to my second semester on the BLP board- with a focus on implementing new ideas for seminars and community-strengthening initiatives.
I am a Sophomore from Huntington Beach, California. I am majoring in BLP With an
emphasis on International Business with a possible minor in German Studies. My
interest in business and my travels abroad to Europe are what inspired me to study
international business and learn German as a language. On the UPS campus I am a
member of the Garden Level Acapella Group and a KUPS Radio DJ. My Freshman year
I hosted a Progressive Rock Show on KUPS. I am also a member of the Sigma Alpha
Epsilon Fraternity and the Phi Eta Sigma Honor society. In my free time I enjoyed
playing Bass and singing, listening to music (especially my records), going on runs for
exercise, and watching movies. I am very excited to be on the BLP Student Board and
for this opportunity to represent my class. I’m looking forward to a fun and productive
2020 Fall Semester.
Hello! I’m Lily, and I am a sophomore at UPS originally from Atlanta, GA but now live in Seattle. I am a double major in both Business and German and like to spend most of my time running on the women’s Cross Country and Track & Field teams, and also love spending time at Diversions Café and the library. Outside of school I am currently teaching German to elementary school kids and have really been enjoying that. I’m looking forward to getting to be a part of the BLP student board this semester and working to make this virtual semester the best it can be!
Hi, my name is Tate DeCarlo and I am a freshman from Portland, Oregon. I am planning on majoring in BLP with an emphasis in marketing, and maybe a minor in English. Outside of school I enjoy being outdoors, skateboarding, and thrifting with my friends. I am interested in fashion and music, as well, and hope to incorporate them into some of the courses I take. I can’t wait for school to return on campus so I can meet new people and explore the wonderful classes UPS has to offer. I hope that I can use this position to enrich the college experiences of my peers in the Business Leadership class of ‘24, and am excited to see what it will bring.
Hi! I’m Maxine! I’m a first-year student and I’m from Portland, Oregon. Besides being in the Business Leadership Program, I really love learning about religion, enjoy ceramics, and am just excited to explore more classes before deciding to double major or pick minors. In my free time, I love going to the Oregon coast, taking photos of my friends, thrifting, cuddling with my cats, and baking. I’m super excited to be on the BLP Student Board and help bring student voices to the table.
