- There isn’t one thing, it’s lots of little things each day that made UPS amazing!
Post-graduation plans:
- Take a year off from school to work and gain experience while applying for Physical Therapy grad schools.
Thoughts or advice to share:
- Don’t take anything for granted; you never know when it will end. Seize your moment everyday.
Even though commencement isn't happening, I will always remember the support and education I received from the Exercise Science department!

- Continue with my job as a kickboxing fitness trainer for another year as I figure out what I want to do long-term.

- I am continuing to work as a medical scribe next year while I apply for medical school.

- Beating Whitworth in football for the first time in 24 years.

- I will be taking a year off from school to work, coach football at UPS, and earn my CSCS while applying to M.A.T programs.

- Live a life that is driven by curiosity rather than fear. Never stop learning!

- Playing around on campus during the snow days last year!
- Working as a student tour guide for Admission.
Post-graduation plans
- Working for AmeriCorps in Seattle next year as I apply for occupational therapy programs.
Thoughts or advice to share:
- Find friends that you can study well with. Take chances and push yourself -- the people around you are not going to let you fall.
Most memorable Puget Sound Experience(s):
- Meeting my friends and girlfriend.
- Games (spike ball, pickup basketball, etc.) and hanging out with friends on weekends.
- Numerous Memos runs with Taylor Scarvie.
Post-graduation plans:
- Finish my prerequisites for physical therapy school.
- Possibly intern at Driveline baseball in Kent, Wash.
Thoughts or advice to share:
- Time management is key.
- Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something.

- Watching Dr. Pohl's children run on the motion capture software for sure!
- Also finishing my poster presentation at the ACSM conference -- that was so stressful.

- Attending the University of Puget Sound's physical therapy program.
- Adopting a cat.

- Eat veggies.

- Attend Drexel University and earn my doctorate in physical therapy!

- Take a moment from your busy schedule and be grateful for everything college offers! Time flies, so enjoy the small moments.

- Being a lab assistant. Shout out to my students and Gary and Kirsten!
- Being on the executive team for the Repertory Dance Group!

- Continue working at a physical therapy clinic while applying to physical therapy school in the fall.
Thoughts or advice to share:
- Don’t forget about “me” time. While grades are important, you won’t perform your best if don’t take care of yourself mentally and physically!

- The first time I went rock climbing and mountain biking were while I was at Puget Sound and those were some of the best days of my life.
Post-graduation plans:
- I plan on working as an EMT in Colorado and then hopefully going to nursing school.

- Being able to study abroad in France.
- Working at Diversions Café.

- Playing on the Logger baseball team for two years.
- Being a part of Phi Delta Theta.
- Working at the CWLT as the Exercise Science tutor.
- Meeting, and learning from, all the knowledgeable and genuine people on this campus.
Post-graduation plans:
- I will be attending the doctorate in physical therapy program here at the University of Puget Sound!
Thoughts or advice to share:
- Take it all in and experience ANYTHING that interests you, because it goes by faster than you think.
Most memorable Puget Sound experience(s):
- Going to the ACSM regional conference and getting to present my research!
- Or when there was an owl on campus and I spent four hours just hanging around watching it and talking with people.
Post-graduation plans:
- I will be pursuing my doctorate in physical therapy here at UPS in the fall!
Thoughts or advice to share:
- Getting involved in research in the department was one of the most enriching and rewarding things I have ever had the opportunity to participate in.
- Take every opportunity you can and make the most of it -- it goes quicker than you think.
Most memorable Puget Sound Experience(s):
- Qualifying for and playing at the D-III National Championships for Ultimate Frisbee with the UPS Postmen.
- Performing with top musicians such as Joshua Redman and Delfeayo Marsalis with the Jazz Orchestra.
Post-graduation plans:
- Working as a logistics coordinator for the Northwest Outward Bound school in Mazama, Wash., organizing outdoor trips for the organization.
- Eventually getting to physical therapy school with the intent to study clinical biomechanics. (Who really knows when that will happen though?)
Thoughts or advice to share:
- Get to know your professors in more than just an academic context! They are all wonderful and love getting to talk about things outside of school just as much as you do.
- Also join the frisbee teams :)

- Living it up with the boys on weekends.

- I am attending the DPT program here at University of Puget Sound.
Thoughts or advice to share:
- Don’t fall behind. Always stay ahead of all your homework or any work for all courses.
- “If you can pass both Anatomy and Physiology with an A, you deserve the world.”

- Getting deemed one of the "twins" (*cough*... thanks Gary).

- I will pursuing my doctorate in physical therapy at the University of Southern California (USC) this fall!

- Make the best out of every moment. Have an open mind and explore as many things as you can because you never know what might pique your interest.

- Breaking a sweat while making smoothies at Lillis Café.
- Being a lab assistant for Kirsten and Gary’s anatomy course and helping students succeed.
- Shouting “She’s out!” every time Mount Rainier made a majestic appearance.
- Meeting life-long friends and dancing way too much.
Post-graduation plans:
- Work as an aide in a physical therapy clinic.
- Apply to physical therapy school in the fall.
- Become a pro roller skater and cruise the California beaches.
Thoughts or advice to share?
- When the task seems too tall or the pressure is unbearable, trust me when I say you CAN do it. No, you WILL do it. You will surprise yourself again and again with your abilities.
