Tour the Slater Museum- home to over 85,000 specimens spanning the last century and a half from around the world.
Fall 2020 Update: We are currently closed for tours and open hours. Send us an email if there's something you'd like to see or learn about!
In just a short visit, you can meet a polar bear up close, touch the most common owl in Washington state, or hold the "original" Cascade Frog! Tours are free of charge and open to visitors 3rd grade and older.
September- May: During the academic year, Slater Museum docents host weekly open hours on Wednesdays through Fridays, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Take a tour of the museum or just pop in for a few minutes during these times! For groups of 8 or more visitors, or to visit outside of these open hours, please call or email in advance to schedule an appointment.
June-August: Due to the campus being closed and museum staff being on summer vacation, the Slater Museum will not be hosting regular open hours during the summer. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to make an appointment if you are interested in seeing the collection.
Please note that the museum is not open on weekends.
