Join us for a special winter edition of our annual birthday celebration of Charles Darwin!
Why do some critters change color during this time of year? Where are some of our feathered friends going and when will they come back? Put on your winter coat and migrate to the museum to learn about winter adaptations!
Specimen preparation- As always, our Collections Manager will be turning dead animals into museum specimens. You will be able to ask questions and get hands-on with his dissections and preparations!
Live animals- Meet a few cool critters from Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium!
Kid's craft- Decorate your own party hat to celebrate Darwin's birthday in style!
Special guests- Learn about Darwin's life from resident expert and University of Puget Sound professor Kristin Johnson, or hear about winter birds from Tahoma Audubon Society!
This is a free, family-friendly, drop-in event!
Join us February 9th, from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at the University of Puget Sound Campus (located at 1500 N Warner St, Tacoma, WA 98416) in Thompson Hall room 295. Directions to Thompson Hall can be found here.
