The All-City Race and Pedagogy Youth Summit is a one-day event being held at Lincoln High School. High school students will come together with the support of college students and community members to engage in workshops and discussions stemming from the theme of the 2010 Race and Pedagogy National Conference, "Teaching and Learning for Justice: Danger and Opportunity in Our Critical Moment." The Summit's program is designed around the conference theme and will lead us in examining how to advance the causes of human rights, civil rights, and social justice within our own education and communtiy.
The Summit will consist of interactive workshops led by educators, community members, and students. Workshop will engage with issues relating to educational equity, civic engagement, and community wellness.
