The following is an overview of a 13-month process for developing Puget Sound’s 10-year strategic plan.

September 2017
Launch process and establish a Strategic Planning Steering Committee including faculty, students, staff, alumni, parents, and trustees
First Community Conversation

October-November 2017
Draft  vision, values, and three to five broad goals for community review and feedback
Second and third Community Conversations

December 2017
Appoint Goal Teams to develop initiatives to support each goal

January  2018
Goal Teams begin their work to develop and prioritize a small set of initiatives
Fourth Community Conversation

February 2018
Goal Teams provides interim report to Strategic Planning Steering Committee
Fifth Community Conversation

March 2018
Interim reports provided to community for review
Final reports presented to Strategic Planning Steering Committee

April 2018
Draft plan presented for comment in open sessions on campus, date TBD

May 2018
Draft plan presented to Board of Trustees

Summer 2018
President’s Cabinet to create recommendations for coordination, sequencing, and timing of initiatives 

September 2018
President meets with faculty, staff, students, and community members to provide an update on the planning process

October 2018
Strategic plan presented to Board of Trustees
