Tree was planted in 1995 in memory of Anne Elizabeth Caraher, who passed away in 1994 during her sophomore year. Anne was a Tacoma native and the Gamma Phi Beta 1994 Pledge of the Year. She was also one of the top fundraisers for the ACS City of Destiny run for four years.
The tree is located on the East side of the Gamma Phi Beta house. The plaque reads:
"This tree has been planted in loving memory of Anne Elizabeth Caraher by her friends and sisters, March 21st, 1995."
