The series of webinars hosted by the Student Technology Experience Manager and the Educational Technologist team will provide an overview of how to use Puget Sound's technology services, systems, and an understanding of the different learning tools that will be used in the classroom. Meet the Technology Services Student Technology Experience Manager joined by members of the Educational Technologist team. This is a general overview of resources and services offered to all students to help understand classroom technology. We will provide an overview of classroom learning systems - Canvas, G Suite App, and virtual desktop. Other points of interest will include gaining access to Office 365, network requirements, and print services. You will learn how to join and interact with faculty using Google Hangouts Meet, and Zoom for classroom conversations.
Learn the many features in the primary learning systems that you as a new student will be expected to use to interact in the classroom. This session will explore the Student Dashboard in the learning management system known as Canvas. We will discuss creating your Puget Sound's Google account, and navigate thru the features within Google Suite of Apps (G Suite). In this training we will show you how to use G Suite tools emphasizing on how to create a video conference using Google Hangouts Meet, and how to join and interact with faculty teaching in Zoom.
