Student Access to Microsoft Office

While a student at the University of Puget Sound, it is very likely that you will be asked to use one or more programs from the Microsoft Office suite. While the university does not provide licenses for students to install, fear not! The following options are available:

  1. The computer labs available in both residential and academic buildings include Microsoft Office.
  2. The University's virtual desktop, vDesk, provides access to the full Microsoft Office suite as well as other academic software. (More information on vDesk is available here.)
  3. Microsoft's Student Offers allows students to register for a free Office 365 account using a ".edu" email. As this service is provided by Microsoft, the University cannot guarantee that Microsoft will continue to provide free Office 365 access to students.
