Goal:


Deliver the Google Mail (Gmail) suite to the campus effectively cutting over from the Microsoft Exchange service by the end of summer, 2021.  


Timeline and Major Milestones:


Kickoff Meeting - Oct 2020

Initial communication
Design of rollout
Initial technical exploration
Development of initial web documentation


Town Hall Presentation - Dec2020

Incorporate feedback from town hall
Build initial test environment
Begin testing
Update FAQ


Pilot Test - Feb 2021

Decision point - should all new staff/faculty/students from this point on be in new environment?
Identify success criteria of pilot
Collect feedback from pilot
Make modifications to environment based on feedback 
Determine final roll-out schedule


Roll Out - May - Aug 2021

Publish finalized self-help documentation
Setup service desk with necessary equipment to transition users
Establish schedule of transitions
Survey campus for feedback and results

Communication Plan


All general campus communications will be posted to a prominent website on TS’s main page at https://www.pugetsound.edu/ts


Initial messaging and final messaging will be completed using an all-campus message while mid-term communications will be conducted over TS blog.
