Pat Krueger

Pat KruegerPat Krueger chairs the music education program, coordinates music education practicum experiences in public schools for Puget Sound students, and teaches courses in music education. She also maintains a commitment to urban and multicultural arts education. Her research focuses on socialization and mentoring of beginning music teachers in public schooling. Krueger periodically returns to public school teaching and previously taught K-12 music in Wisconsin public schools. Her publications include chapters in The Handbook of Qualitative Research in Music Education (Oxford, 2014) and in Great Beginnings for Music Teachers: Mentoring and Supporting New Teachers. She has written articles in Journal of Research in Music Education, Music Educator's Journal, Update, Journal of Music Teacher Education, and Arts Education Policy Review. Krueger has presented at national, Northwest, and state Music Educators' Conferences and serves on the editorial board of Bulletin for the Council of Research in Music Education.
