Betsy Gast’s professional interests lie in the areas of Gestalt therapy, family systems, developmental issues, group work, and therapeutic methods involving art and play. She has worked as a school counselor and as a family therapist in an intensive, in-home therapy program for high-risk families and youth. She has also maintained a private practice since 1983. Gast teaches courses including Counseling and Interpersonal Communication, Humanistic Therapies, Group Leadership, Developmental Counseling, School Counseling, Practicum and Internship, Divorce Counseling, and Seminar in Child Abuse and Neglect.
