Beverly Conner is an author and instructor in the field of creative writing. She published Where Light is a Place (CreateSpace, 2013), set in 1947 Manhattan Beach, Calif., and parts of the short story collection Safe Lodgings. She also co-published the short story collection Nine by Three: Stories (2011). Her essays have appeared in Private Voices, Public Lives: Women Speak on the Literary Life and Colors of a Different Horse: Rethinking Creative Writing Theory and Pedagogy. Other works of short fiction and poetry have been published in literary and popular journals. Conner is working on her second novel, Falling from Grace, which deals with traumatic brain injury. She teaches fiction and poetry writing, rhetoric, and autobiography/biography.
