The university requires faculty and staff to complete harassment and sexual violence prevention tutorials within one month of employment and every 2 years thereafter. Puget Sound has chosen LawRoom, a leading provider of workplace compliance training, to deliver these tutorials.
Eliminate Campus Sexual Violence
The sexual violence prevention tutorial provides important information, resources and education on sexual violence and misconduct prevention directed towards students as required by the Campus SaVE Act of 2013. The Act makes clear that all education institutions who receive federal funds of any sorts must educate students, faculty, and staff on the prevention of rape, acquaintance rape, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
Workplace Harassment Prevention
This interactive online tutorial offers a convenient and practical means of educating ourselves about workplace harassment and associated legal issues. There are two possible versions of the harassment prevention tutorial; faculty and staff who are supervisors of regular staff will complete a version that contains additional content regarding specific responsibilities for those in leadership positions.
