2020 Flexible Benefits Open Enrollment

Open enrollment for 2020 benefits will be held Nov. 4 - 15, 2019. Complete the following steps no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, 2019:

Step A. Review the 2020 Open Enrollment Letter and 2020 Benefit Guide for a summary of the benefits offered as part of this plan and to determine the benefits that best meet the needs of you and your family in 2020.

Step B. Review your current 2019 Flexible Benefits Plan elections in myPugetSound by selecting Benefits Summary under HR - Self Service.

Step C. Complete the enrollment form(s) available through the links below:

    • 2020 Dependent Demographics and Benefits Re-Enrollment Form (all benefited faculty and staff should complete this form)
    • 2020 Open Enrollment/Change Form (complete if you are making changes to your medical or dental enrollment, if you want to add the vision buy-up plan, if you are making changes to supplemental life and/or AD&D coverage, or if you want to enroll in the healthcare of dependent care flexible spending account)
    • 2020 Benefits Election Worksheet (use this worksheet to calculate your payroll deductions - includes rates and instructions for calculating supplemental life, AD&D and short-term disability premiums)
    • Flexible Spending Account Enrollment (use the 2020 Benefits Election Worksheet to help estimate health flexible spending account expenses)
    • Affidavit of Marriage or Domestic Partnership Form (required if you are enrolling your spouse, domestic partner and/or domestic partner's child for a benefit for the first time)
    • Lincoln Financial Beneficiary Designation Form (recommended if Life/AD&D beneficiaries haven't been updated recently)

Step D. Deliver your enrollment forms to Howarth Hall 016, send through campus mail to CMB #1064, or scan and email to benefits@pugetsound.edu. (Remember to sign all forms!)

If your completed enrollment materials are not received by Nov. 15, your benefit elections will default to the same selections you made in 2019, except that you will have no Flexible Spending Account deductions (even if you elected them for 2019) due to IRS requirements. After the enrollment period is over, your next opportunity to make changes to your benefits will be in Nov. 2020, unless you experience a qualifying status change (such as the birth or adoption of a child or change in marital status).
