Violinist Jennifer Yarbrough is a member of the Yakima Symphony Orchestra and performs with Symphony Tacoma, Tacoma City Ballet Orchestra, and Vashon Opera. She has also enjoyed freelancing with Il Divo, Michael Bublé, Ricky Skaggs and the Kentucky Thunder, and The Ten Tenors.
As a chamber musician and soloist, Jennifer has been featured with the Poulsbo Community Orchestra in addition to touring and performing in Bucharest, Romania at the Sutu Palace and George Enescu Hall.
Jennifer is a registered Suzuki violin teacher, having completed training courses with Sherry Cadow, Christie Felsing, Edward Kreitman, Cathy Lee, Allen Lieb, Ann Montzka-Smelser, and Edmund Sprunger. She also studied string pedagogy with Kurt Sassmannshaus and completed The Sassmannshaus Tradition teacher training seminar for violin. In addition to maintaining a private studio, she is an adjunct Suzuki violin instructor at The University of Puget Sound’s Community Music Department.
Jennifer received Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in violin performance, graduating summa cum laude, from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music, where she studied primarily with Dr. Piotr Milewski and Gabriel Pegis.
