Join us for Puget Sound's 127th Commencement Ceremony!
This year's Commencement Ceremony, celebrating the Class of 2019, will be held on Sunday, May 19, at 2 p.m. The ceremony will take place in Baker Stadium, rain or shine. Guests may watch the live stream of the ceremony inside Schneebeck Concert Hall. The Hall is equipped with a large screen, which will display the same video of the ceremony as shown below.
Guest tickets are required to attend the Commencement Ceremony. For ticket inquiries, please visit the Ticket Information table at Baker Stadium starting at noon on Sunday, May 19. All tickets are complimentary. All guest tickets are for general admission seating. In addition to seating in the Baker Stadium bleachers, ground-level seating will be provided on Peyton Field. Seating will open at noon, and is first-come, first-served. Specific seats may not be reserved in advance.
Tickets are not required for children under the age of two who will be seated on a parent or guardian’s lap. Current Puget Sound students, faculty, and staff do not need a guest ticket to attend, but must present their Logger Identification Card for entrance.
Speakers and Honorands
Commencement speakers will include National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities President David L. Warren and student Megan Sanders ’19. Dr. Warren will receive the honorary degree Doctor of Humane Letters, and Michael Mirra, executive director of the Tacoma Housing Authority, will be named honorary Doctor of Laws.
