How would you describe your role and organization to a college student?
I'm a PA at a teaching hospital working in symphony with residents, attendings, and patient care staff to manage and treat patients under the Trauma and Acute Care Surgery service.
What can a student expect to experience by job shadowing you?
Exposure to the trauma and acute care surgery world. Observe how the different specialties and providers work together to care for a patient.
ATTENTION: Students shadowing this host will be required to submit the following documents:
- Job shadow application provided by Denver Health (this is separate from the TLW application).
- Confidentiality Agreement provided by Denver Health
- Denver Health Observer Agreement (along with this document, students must bring immunization records for the following immunizations: Rubella, Measles, Seasonal Influenza. Students must also provide Denver Health with proof of a current PPD prior to the job shadow date)

Why do you want to host Logger Students?
The physician assistant career path was unknown to me during my undergrad years and had I known about this opportunity, I would have pursued it sooner. Hopefully a student considering the medical profession can have a better insight into all the possibilities in the medical world.
