How would you describe your role and organization?
Box is an enterprise cloud company that provides a tool for content management. I work as a briefing center specialist, acting as the glue between Box executives, our sales teams, and our customers. I help strategize these meetings and brief our executives, and I have the privilege of sitting in the meetings too!
How would the skills and competencies gained through a liberal arts education be beneficial in the type of work you do?
Everyday I am: communicating with stake-holders and customers, using critical thinking skills, and strategizing. At UPS I learned how to do all three of these things.
What can a student expect to experience by job shadowing you?
Students will get to experience a thriving tech company with a start-up feel. This will include a tour of the office, meeting with colleagues, and talking with them about their career interests.
