2008 Annual Meeting of the Classical Association of the Pacific Northwest The University of Puget Sound was pleased to be the host for the next annual meeting of the Classical Association of the Pacific Northwest (CAPN) on Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29, 2008.

Professor and Chair of Classics at Yale University
History as example: Memory and exempla in Livy and Vergil
Christina Kraus taught at New York University, University College London, and Oxford University prior to joining the faculty at Yale in 2004. She is the author of numerous books and articles which explore diverse topics including the works of Livy, Greek tragedy, historiography, and genre, including a well-received commentary on Livy Ab urbe condita VI in the Cambridge Greek and Latin Classics series. She has served as editor or co-editor of volumes on Latin historians and The limits of historiography: Genre and narrative in ancient historical texts, as well as a forthcoming collection, in honor of Froma Zeitlin, called Visualizing the Tragic. She is currently co-writing a commentary on Tacitus' Agricola with Tony Woodman.
