Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour -Tacoma Screening 2012

What will two nights look like this year?

We are excited to bring you two nights of films this year.  Each night will be different so that we can show a broader range of films.  Each night will include short, medium and a feature length films (45min - 70min).  The show schedule will be decided with the Banff Roadie the day of the shows based on the previous shows and what Tacoma audiences have enjoyed in the past.

Why we bring the world tour Tacoma?

We are excited to bring the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour to Tacoma for the eighth year.  The films each year go deeper into the story of the adventure and into what the adventures are going through.  The films go way beyond the average adrenalin film.  Join us!

The event is co-Sponsored by The Mountaineers Tacoma branch and the University of Puget Sound Outdoors program. We sponsor this event to bring outdoor enthusiasts to gather, expand community and our horizons.

Show time and seatting: Doors open at 6:00 p.m.  Show starts at 7 p.m.  Seats are festival style ~ first come basis

$15 for Mountaineers, University of Puget Sound and Edgeworks Community members  + handling fees & taxes

Ticketing: Tickets can be purchase at the Broadway Center box office or online.  We recommend purchasing them in advance. Last year tickets were sold out by the time the doors opened.

  Film are chosen with the collaboration of the show sponsors and the Banff Center Roady.
• How many films and how long are the films?
  Each year the show consists of films ranging in length from 5 minutes to 50 minutes totalling 5-8 films.
• Appropriateness for kids?
  Banff films are generally appropriate for kids with the acknowledgment that there will be some swearing.
