The Department of Spirituality, Service, & Social Justice's annual events
SSSJ holds several annual events that bring the community and campus together. SSSJ also organizes special events like MLK Jr. Day of Service in January and Operation SAVE at the end of Spring semester.
Winterfeast is an annual event that brings student mentors and tutors together with the local families involved in these youth programs for an evening of feasting and festivities.
Each year SSSJ honors strong partnerships between the University of Puget Sound and the greater Tacoma community by hosting an Appreciation Dessert where both student volunteers and local organizations are acknowledged for their outstanding service and collaboration.
On campus groups and clubs partner with Cascade Regional Blood Services to sponsor a blood drive on campus twice a semester. Sign ups to donate blood take place in Wheelock Student Center. If your group is interested in sponsoring a blood drive for the 2014-15 school year, contact firstname.lastname@example.org for information.
