ETC Tutoring is an on-campus tutoring program that gives students the opportunity to volunteer and interact with the Tacoma community. ETC is open to all students in grades K-12 and in all subjects. Once a student has turned in the appropriate forms we will do our best to match that student with a tutor based on the subjects that student needs help with. The student will be responsible for bringing their homework and coordinating with their tutor on what they need help with. All of the tutoring takes places here on the University of Puget Sound campus, therefore the children and parents must provide their own transportation. However, ETC Tutoring is completely free of charge, and tutors participate on a volunteer basis.
ETC Tutoring provides students the atmosphere, space and attention they need to achieve the results they desire. The collaboration with the students here at Puget Sound will hopefully help to build self-esteem and confidence, enabling each to scholastically achieve the grades and understanding of their courses that will help them to advance.
