Melissa graduated from Oberlin College with a double major in Music Performance (harp and piano) and English Literature. She worked in television news as an anchor and reporter for several stations across the country. She went back to school to become a Physician Assistant and graduated with honors from Medical College of Pennsylvania/Hahnemann University in Philadelphia in 2000. She has worked in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Gynecology and College Health. She is particularly interested in Sports and Exercise Medicine.
She employs a mind-body-spirit approach to the prevention of illness—through exercise, healthful diet and balance in life. She promotes self-reliance and encourages patients to be accountable for their own health.
She enjoys running, cooking, writing, traveling, and the arts.
