Colleen graduated from the University of San Francisco in 1979. She was an athletic trainer at the University of San Francisco, and trained Olympic Athletes at the Olympic Training Center in Squaw Valley, California. For the next two decades she worked in varied capacities within health care as a medical assistant, an emergency medical technician, a birth clerk, and lactation consultant. In 2004, Colleen graduated from the Medex program at the University of Washington as a physician assistant (PA). She began her career as a PA by working in oncology at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and Seattle Children’s Hospital. Her interest in research secured her a position as a Clinical Trials Sub-investigator.
Colleen has a passion for service work and volunteers in underserved populations. She has worked in Mexico, in the area of alcohol and drug rehabilitation, in prisons, and with Seattle’s homeless youth. This summer she will be volunteering in Ghana, Africa.
Colleen employs a holistic approach to medical care incorporating mind, body and spirit. She is devoted to empowerment, knowledge, and a healthy lifestyle. She applies her life experience to assist our students in their journey to independence, self-care and a health conscious life.
