Financial Aid: Helping Students Live Their Potential
Financial aid provides access to Puget Sound for students who might not otherwise be able to afford the full cost of tuition, room, and board. Nearly two-thirds of Puget Sound students receive need-based financial aid. You can help these students achieve their goals and realize their dreams as we raise $44 million in new endowment for scholarships.
A named scholarship fund provides annual grant assistance to one student with demonstrated financial need. Each year donors who establish scholarship will receive a report about how their funds have been applied and will be invited to a special scholarship donor event.
In consultation with the university, donors may express preferences regarding scholarship criteria. For example a donor might specify that a scholarship be awarded to a student who pursues a particular field of study, or who comes from a specific geographic area.
This scholarship provides grant assistance equal to the average demonstrated need of students who qualify for financial aid. A scholarship at this level makes up the difference between the cost of tuition and what a student can afford, fully funding one Puget Sound student per year.
This scholarship provides grant assistance equal to the average demonstrated need of students who qualify for financial aid for four Puget Sound students—one per class each academic year. Donors will enjoy periodic opportunities, in addition to the annual scholarship donor event, to interact with their scholarship recipients.
