Open Hours at the Slater Museum

The Slater Museum of Natural History is home to over 80,000 specimens spanning the last century and a half from around the world. In just a short visit you can see a pair of extinct Passenger Pigeons, or meet a polar bear up close, touch the most common owl in Washington State, or hold the 'original' Cascade Frog. Visits are free of charge and family-friendly. Stop in during our weekly Open Hours, Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., to explore the collection with one of our student docents. *If you are coming with a group of more than 10, please email us beforehand at to let us know.
