Film Screening: Roadmap to Apartheid

March 4, 2013 @ 7:00pm — Wheelock Student Center Rasmussen Rotunda

Narrated by Alice Walker, Roadmap to Apartheid is a film that shows why many Palestinians feel they are living in an apartheid system today. The audience sees what life is like for Palestinians in the West Bank, Gaza, and inside Israel while gaining a deeper understanding of the conflict with the help of respected analysts on the subject. The film breaks down the rhetorical analogy into a fact-based comparison, noting were the analogy is useful and appropriate, and where it is not. Combined with archival material from South Africans, it forms a complete picture as to why the analogy is being used with increasing frequency and potency.
