Family Concert: Mozart's Remote Control

Concert at 2:30 p.m. Instrument Petting Zoo at 1:30 p.m. Introduce your children to the wonderful string instruments in the symphony orchestra. This magical introduction to the string family will include popular pieces of classical music and children's tunes the whole family will enjoy. Listeners will be taken through contrasts of high/low, fast/slow, and major/minor while learning all the ins and outs of what make the string family unique. Audience participation will be under the leadership of music instructors Kathyann Baumgartner and Anna Jensen. Prior to the concert, the instrument petting zoo will give children a chance to see and touch musical instruments, and to try playing a few notes for themselves! This concert is part of a series and is the result of an exciting partnership between Tacoma Symphony Orchestra, Ted Brown Music, and University of Puget Sound Community Music Department with additional support from the Bamford Foundation.
