Community Forum on Family Homelessness
October 4, 2012 @ 6:30pm — Rasmussen Rotunda in Wheelock Student Center
Presented by Seattle Children's Theatre and Seattle University and funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, this community forum will use theatrical experiences and family-based activities to start conversations about children living in poverty and what the community can do to help. The forum will feature scenes from the new Seattle Children's Theatre production, Danny, King of the Basement. Community leaders will set the stage for an audience discussion. Who's Invited: Community leaders, service providers, college students, members of faith communities, theater enthusiasts, families (kids age 8 and up), and everyone else interested in the well being of kids in our community. The Project on Family Homelessness, in the Seattle University Center for Strategic Communications/ Department of Communication, is funded by a grant from The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
