Alternative Fall Break

June 20, 2013 — Kilworth Memorial Chapel

Alternative Fall Break is a four day community service immersion option for students who want to engage social justice work and meet new people during regular Fall Break. The theme of this year's AFB is What Does Social Justice look like in Tacoma? Throughout the four days, students will engage this question through a variety of activities including: a workshop focusing on a specific topic, conversation with local activists, service throughout Tacoma with various agencies, communal meals, get-to-know-you activities, and reflection. The price to attend AFB is generally between $15-$25, but there are need-based scholarships available to students who want to join.
