TACOMA, Wash. – Professor Mike Veseth ’72 is interviewed by the award-winning CNN and ABC journalist Christiane Amanpour in a video currently online on the ABC News and Yahoo! News websites.

Veseth, professor of international political economy and author of The Wine Economist blog, appeared in Amanpour’s global news video series Around the World with Christiane Amanpour.

The story, titled “Global Fine Wine Market: Follow the Money to China,” covers the rise of China as an new player in the international fine wine market and exposes some of the idiosyncrasies of Chinese wine, as well as the growing sophistication of the Chinese wine consumer.

Veseth, who has taught popular courses at Puget Sound including The Beautiful Game and The Idea of Wine, is the author of many books including Wine Wars: The Curse of the Blue Nun, the Miracle of Two Buck Chuck and the Revenge of the Terroirists (2011) and Globaloney 2.0: The Crash of 2008 and the Future of Globalization (2010).
